The inaugural Essence Festival is a diverse and extreme music festival in Canberra, ACT, to be held from Fri 27 Sept thru Sat 28 Sept 2024. While metal is a core focus for the festival, it has been curated to represent high-quality acts from other genres as well: experimental, ritual ambient, industrial, noise, improvised… the list goes on. Essence Festival builds on a long and proud tradition of extreme music creation and performance in Canberra.
